This work from the Catching Luck series is performative painting in which chance (~80%) and intention (~20%) intertwine in an exploration of how luck is “caught.” Initial conditions of birth and other contingencies often account for up to half of success, sending people down different paths: making some fortunate and others vulnerable. In this there is neither our merit nor our fault — it is a matter of chance.
